John Hall
John is the owner of Write Here Ltd, a stationery shop in Shrewsbury UK.
He was educated at Haberdashers' Aske's School, Elstree: University of Warwick (Llb): South Bank Polytechnic (Diploma in Management Studies): Manchester University (Diploma in Social Work and Social Administration).
After a career in Local Government Social Care, where he had a special interest in developing care at home services, he founded Write Here in 2004. Initially a straightforward card, gift and kite shop, the business has moved gradually towards being a more specialist stationery and pen shop, as his interests have moved in this direction.
A fascination with in fountain pens grew as he learned more about them, generally from people who knew much more about them.
John distributed OMAS pens in the UK until their demise in 2016. He still works with former OMAS staff who established Scrittura Bolognese in 2016, maintaining the tradition of luxury pen manufacture in Bologna.
John live in Shrewsbury, within walking distance of the shop.
