Country?[edit]
Could you let me know which country you are from? I would like to add it to the Stationery Wiki:Mechanical Pencil Day Contest page. --Memm (talk) 21:40, 14 July 2018 (CEST)--Memm (talk) 21:03, 12 July 2018 (CEST)
Hello Matthias! I'm from Italy (so I apologize if my English is not very good). I love mechanical pencils, so thanks for the opportunity. I hope to make some useful contribution here. --Dish (talk) 00:23, 15 July 2018 (CEST)
- Thank you very much for your contributions, they are really helping other stationery fans to find out more about the hobby they love. I have added your flag to the Contest Page. --Memm (talk) 13:42, 15 July 2018 (CEST)
- Thank you very much for taking part in the Mechanical Pencil Day Contest. I have added your contributions to Stationery Wiki:Mechanical Pencil Day Contest/Contributions. Please check whether this is correct and amend if necessary. If you have uploaded any photos as part of the contest, please indicate whether the photo(s) is/are your own work if you haven't already done so and which licence applies, e.g. whether you want to make it available under the Creative Commons licence for anyone to use. Good luck for the contest. --Memm (talk) 17:55, 6 August 2018 (CEST)
- I just checked the contributions list: I only added informations about the photos I have uploaded; all of them are my own work (sorry, I omitted this thing before). I also updated the pictures' summaries and added the licensing information (CC-by-sa-2.5). Let me know if I did something wrong or if I have to correct something. Thank you so much. Regards. --Dish (talk) 01:51, 7 August 2018 (CEST)
Winner Mechanical Pencil Day Contest[edit]
Congratulations, you won the Mechanical Pencil Day Contest and have the first pick. More information is available at Stationery_Wiki:Mechanical_Pencil_Day_Contest#Winners. Could you please pick which pencil you want to win. You get the first pick, please pick which pencil you want to win by 21 August 2018. --Memm (talk) 17:52, 14 August 2018 (CEST)
- I'm really happy and honored to be the winner! Many thanks to you, Matthias and to the judges Brad and Dave.
- Anyway I choose the Cleo Messograf (also, I don't dislike the virtual trophy at all, so i'll be proud to show it on my page).--Dish (talk) 01:39, 15 August 2018 (CEST)
- The Messograf is a good choice. I made a video about it, which is on Youtube. Could you please contact me by email (my email address can be found here), so that you can tell me where to send the pencil to? --Memm (talk) 15:29, 17 August 2018 (CEST)
- A very nice virtual trophy! Many thanks, aykray!
- I agree with you, Memm: I saw your video the same day you uploaded it and it helped me to confirm my choice. The Messograf is a really interesting pencil, a great addition to my collection. Your video also reminded me how to use a vernier :)
- Anyway I sent you the email. Thanks. --Dish (talk) 00:05, 19 August 2018 (CEST)
- A very nice virtual trophy! Many thanks, aykray!
Spam[edit]
Thank you for your message. I will try to deal with the spam in a few hours. There's no need to empty pages manually. It's easier with the nuke dungeon available to admins. I'm happy to give you admin rights later if you want to help. I'm not near a computer and can't put spam blocks in from my phone so unfortunately it has to wait a bit. -Memm (talk) 14:46, 29 June 2019 (CEST)
- Thanks for your quick reply. No problem, there's no hurry: spam blocks can definitely wait.
- I'm visiting the wiki regularly, and I often think that it would be great to have the ability to completely remove spam pages (luckily this is not a very frequent problem).
- Anyway, if I can help, I'm available. Dish (talk) 15:30, 29 June 2019 (CEST)
I changed your user rights now and you should be able to fight spam. I have put a video with an explanation up at https://youtu.be/6ZQVZQtjvXA --Memm (talk) 09:22, 9 July 2019 (CEST)
