Infobox[edit]

If you have any suggestions for changes to the info box, as used by you for the Karas Kustoms article, please let me know. --Memm (talk) 21:56, 9 April 2017 (CEST)

I do like the InfoBox, but not sure what all the info listed is for, or if it is needed. What is the Type section for? Is there a way to get the Logo to display in the infobox? If you don't have the data, is there a way to hide that field in the wiki page? I tried to remove a couple of them on the Karas Kustoms page but it wouldn't hide those fields.

I'm not sure Num Employees is relevant, as most companies won't share that info, same with revenue.

Thank you for these suggestions. I will improve the info box soon and will check re logo and hiding. It's late in my time zone though (Europe) so I'll do it tomorrow. --Memm (talk) 22:25, 9 April 2017 (CEST)

Wikipedia[edit]

I saw your Conway Stewart article. I think tocomply with the copyright rules there needs to be a link to the article, so that it's possible to see the authors. A link to that specific version of the article (can be found in the history tab) might be even better, see https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Reusing_Wikipedia_content --Memm (talk) 00:23, 17 April 2017 (CEST)

Ah, good point. Still getting used to all the wiki editing and that sort of thing. Should we get a template similar to https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:En-WP_attribution_notice for things like this? Also should we have templates for when citing books and when citing websites? Sgtstretch (talk) 02:36, 17 April 2017 (CEST)
Sounds like a great idea. It's all going a bit different than expected, I thought if Brad mentions the wiki contributions will be mainly about improving podcast episode articles, but it's great to see non podcast articles getting made. He said he will mention i the wiki on his blog and in the podcast soon, will see what will happen then in terms of content. Are you interested in having your status changed to admin? You'd then have improved permissions, eg if there's spam you can delete easily etc.? --Memm (talk) 08:26, 17 April 2017 (CEST)
We've been talking about a wiki on the Slack channel for a bit now. I think a good portion of us think it is a fantastic idea, not only for podcast episodes, but to have a dedicated "encyclopedia" of pen knowledge that we can refer to. It will be quite useful when trying to remember when that green Lamy Safari was released. If you're ok with me on the admin team, I'm ok with it. Sgtstretch (talk) 15:52, 17 April 2017 (CEST)
