Further Information[edit]

Ask TPA[edit]

Q: I loved @dowdyism's Chicago trip notebook and want to do the same but in w Fountain Pen, what notebook? Same question in A5 but as thin and light as a field notes book.[2][edit]

Answer: Some of the Field Notes and Write Notepads work well with fountain pens. As a thin A5 notebook there's the Nock Dot Dash Notebook, the Apica CD Grid Notebook or the Story Supply Co. Edition 407. Thicker and more expensive notebooks are available.

Q: Is there a preponderance of Pen Addict relationships? Do fountain pens bring people together? Have they torn people apart?[3][edit]

Answer: This hobby brings people together for life. It probably tore people apart, but it brings significantly more people together.

Q: How does the Papermate Inkjoy gel compare to the Uni-Ball Signo RT1? The Inkjoy's design seems very Signo inspired.[4][edit]

Answer: The Inkjoy barrel is better than the RT1 barrel. The RT1 has more colours and micro-tip sizes. The Inkjoy Gel is very good. The Inkjoy is Papermate's best pen after the Flair.

Q: What is the best pen for writing on that thermal receipt paper? [5][edit]

Answer: Crappy ballpoint pens are the best pens for thermal receipt paper.

Q: What are some of the premium barrels that can take pilot/zebra/etc refills other than Sarasa Grand? [6][edit]

Answer: There's the Pilot Metropolitan, great with a Juice refill or a Sarasa refill, or the Ti2 TechLiner.
