Myke Hurley: From RelayFM, this is The Pen Addict episode 182. Today's show is brought to you by Pen Chalet, Karis Customs, and Harry's. It's that time of year again, Brad. It's time for our Gift Guide episode.

Brad Dowdy: Gift Guide, Anna Reinhart. Woo woo woo! It's the ultimate pairing. Hey Anna, how's it going?

Ana Reinert: Just fine. How are you guys doing?

Brad Dowdy: Good. It has been too darn long since we've had you on. I think people are starting to yell at me like, where's Anna? She hasn't been on in a while. What's she doing? Where is she? I'm like, hang on. We're trying to make it to the Gift Guide episode. It's like, I want to have her on now, but then like three weeks from now, we're going to do the Gift Guide episode. And, you know, we'll just save up for one big monster episode today. So sorry it's been so long, but I'm excited about today. Thanks for coming.

Ana Reinert: That's okay. Thank you very much. I didn't want to wear out my welcome.

Myke Hurley: No, no, no. You are a real special guest, Anna. You have like specific episodes that you join us for, right? Like that is a whole other level. Like, so now we have like live episodes in person and the Gift Guide. Like they are, it's big time.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah.

Ana Reinert: Oh, that's kind of embarrassing.

Brad Dowdy: I think, I think next year as the, as the new year rolls in here pretty soon, I should just go ahead and like book you out for the year. Like every, every few weeks, we'll just have you on.

Ana Reinert: I think that'd be lovely. I would enjoy that.

Myke Hurley: We'll get our people to talk to Anna's people.

Brad Dowdy: Yes. She has people.

Ana Reinert: I need to, I need to get people.

Brad Dowdy: You have cat people. I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll get with your cat and, uh, and check your schedule.

Ana Reinert: They're really bad with messages.

Ana Reinert: They just sit on them.

Paper Product[edit]

Brad Dowdy: Well, before, before we dig in, uh, what, what's new in, uh, Anna's world? What's new at the, at the well-appointed desk that everyone, everyone needs to know about?

Ana Reinert: Well, we, we did release our first paper product, um, about a week ago. Um, yes, it's not entirely safe for work, but, um, it was, uh, inspired by something I once said in front of my husband, which was that I wanted, uh, a, um, wanted to do a notepad because I had, um, stuff to do. And he said, it should say that. And I said, okay, let's make them. And so I sort of started giving him like, it needs to be this big and it needs to be able to fit into a Hobonichi or a planner or whatever. It needs to fit. Um, we need to be able to have them. So they fit in things that, uh, had a pocket on the side or pocket on the top. And he's like, okay, just tell me what you want and we'll make them. And so they're in my shop now and they've been selling pretty quickly there. Um, we made them on, I think about 70 pound paper, their letterpress printed to color available for $8, uh, pad. And, um, yeah, I have a feeling we'll probably sell out of the first run. And so we'll probably print up another run probably after Christmas.

Brad Dowdy: So we'll link those in the show notes today. And you, you hooked me up with the set and they're sitting on my desk right now and they're awesome. So thank you so much.

Ana Reinert: You are welcome. I sent you this, the ones that were, um, glued on the side to, because I knew you had gotten a Hobonichi and I thought you'd like that. Nice. And I had intended on sending one to Myke until I found out it cost more to ship to, to England than the pad was worth.

Myke Hurley: Yeah, that's, that gets me a lot. Yeah. Yeah.

Ana Reinert: I know I had somebody email me and, and was like, how much to send it to, uh, Canada? And I'm like, it's $10 to ship an $8 notepad.

Myke Hurley: Keep a pad for me for Atlanta. Okay. I will. I love the yellow and gray, like stripe. Excellent. That's, you know, it's like danger.

Ana Reinert: We said it was like police tape. Yeah. Do not cross.

Brad Dowdy: Well, awesome. Thank you. Awesome. Awesome. So, uh, let's get into this gift guide episode. I know, uh, a bunch of people are chomping at the bit for us to, uh, do this. They look forward to it every year. I look forward to it, um, a lot and, you know, talk about all the, the cool things we think make good gifts for all those stationary freaks out there. And even for people who are not stationary freaks and want to get into something, you know, maybe just, uh, getting their feet wet, if you will. So what we did this year is kind of group things into sets, if you will.

Myke Hurley: Let me run down the categories for you, Brad. So we have, we have a few different categories this year, um, that I believe Brad came up with out of his beautiful little brain. Uh, we have the fountain pen, ink, and paper combo. We have the standard pen and paper combo, the pencil on paper combo, the pocket and portable carry setup, the adult coloring picks, and then some personal extra grab bag picks at the end. Um, I'm going to do my best to collect up, um, as many links as possible for everything that we talk about. So you'll find those in our show notes. Um, so you can get them at relay.fm slash pen.x slash 182, or they should be listed in the podcast app that you use. If you are a person that doesn't like spoilers, then don't look in the show notes until afterwards, right? Because all the products will be in there. Maybe you don't want to know what we pick. It's kind of like a surprise, I guess, as well as a gift guide. This is kind of like awards or something. I don't know. Uh, we can think about that later. I like award shows. Yeah. So yeah, this is going to be our full on gift guide. We have all the great categories. And so Brad, would you like to kick us off? What have we got first? The fountain pen ink and paper combo.

Brad Dowdy: So we'll let, uh, our illustrious world famous guest go first with our fountain pen ink and paper combo. What do you like this year for the, the 2015 gift guide for your fountain pen ink and paper combo, Anna?

Ana Reinert: Well, I went on sort of a slightly budget route for the fountain pen ink and paper combo. I had a feeling you were going to go high end with this. Maybe I'm wrong.

Brad Dowdy: You might be. You might be. And I'll cut you off is I've kind of done a little bit of both. Like you're saying, I've done some very budget conscious ones and I've done some a little bit that aren't so much. So yeah.

Ana Reinert: Okay. Cause there, there's a one category where I kind of went top end, but this, this one, I went a little budget conscious. Um, I have been very excited about the pilot metropolitan retro pops, which are the 15 ish dollar pens come in fun, bright colors. Um, there's a red, gray, turquoise, purple, orange, and lime green. Um, and decided that what would be really fun is if you matched the pen with an ink. So if you decided that you were buying this for someone else, maybe you got the red one, you'd match it with a red ink, um, or a gray one. You'd match it with a gray ink. Um, and so forth. So I went, I went through my copious collection of ink and actually matched as best as I could every pen with every ink that I could find. And then I also discovered that the Rhodiarama notebooks also pretty much matched. Yeah. With every single.

Brad Dowdy: Eight colors in those or so. Seems like.

Ana Reinert: Yeah. There's quite a few, um, which made for a nice little, you could put together a pretty nice set for. Pretty much under $50 if you wanted to sort of introduce somebody to really nice paper, really nice, you know, a great pen for a really reasonable price. And then get them an ink. So if you knew somebody's favorite color was purple or something, you could kind of totally set them up.

Brad Dowdy: I think these, these metropolitan, these new, newest Metropolitans are going to be my favorite Metropolitans. I don't have one yet, but those colors are awesome. I think they're better than like the animal print ones and things like that. I think they're really, really neat.

Ana Reinert: Yeah. I just got, um, I went ahead and did the, my mass drop had, um, a bunch of them and I got two of them. I got big surprise. I got the lime green and, uh, the turquoise.

Myke Hurley: The green one?

Ana Reinert: I got the green one.

Myke Hurley: No way.

Ana Reinert: And, um, I got a fine point and a medium point. And I just, because I hadn't kind of done a side by side of them and really, really nice. And I'm just kind of stunned at how good for 15 bucks those pens are.

Myke Hurley: So they really are.

Ana Reinert: Yep.

Myke Hurley: So I'm kind of frustrated about this because Adina loves her pilot metropolitan. Like it's the pen that she keeps coming back to. And, uh, she, she dropped the one. I think she's on her, she'll be on her third now. She just dropped one and, and it, and it just the nib just misaligned. And you can never really get those things back to how they were, you know, like, especially at this point, price point. It's like, well, if you, if you've dropped it, just replace it. So we just replaced hers. Um, and I didn't even know that these retro pups existed. So that, that could have been more fun than maybe the gold one that we got. But hey, next time.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah. Next time. Well, now you have a Christmas gift you can, uh, you can have for her or at least just have, at least just have one in the drawer for when she drops and breaks the next one.

Myke Hurley: It's like, Oh, Hey darling, look what I have.

Fountain Pen[edit]

Brad Dowdy: All right, Myke, what's your, what's your combo?

Myke Hurley: So for me, I am going to have to go for the, I am going high on this one. Um, the sailor pro gear. Um, I just have to pick this pen. It came to me this year, right? I picked one up in Atlanta and it just shot to the list of my favorite pen that I've ever owned. Um, I love my orange one. I think that that is like the superior design cause it looks fantastic. I remember I first saw this pen when Brad handed it to me. Um, when we were sitting in the lobby on the first evening and I, my jaw hit the floor. I was just so blown away with it. I absolutely love it. Um, if I'm going to go with an ink, especially with this guy, you know what I'm going to pick the Hiroshi Zuko Fuyugaki, like just flat down. It's always going to be that way for me. And I have to say, and I'm not just saying this because you're here. The paper that maybe surprised me the most this year because of just how good it is, is the NotCo dot dash spiral pad. Well, thank you so much. Very, very impressed with that. I need, I need some more of those.

Brad Dowdy: I know a guy.

Myke Hurley: Yes.

Brad Dowdy: Well, cool. Cool. Glad you like it. So, um, you don't have any, uh, you like using your fountain pens on, on that paper works out well for you.

Myke Hurley: Yeah, it does. It does. I found that your, the paper that you choose, it works well with everything. I mean, you know, it's, it's difficult always to find paper that is all perfect for all types of pens. Like there just isn't a universal, but that one has, has done a really good job of everything that I've thrown at it.

TWSBI 580[edit]

Brad Dowdy: Yep. Yep. Awesome. And I love, you know, I love the pro beer. Um, I bought mine from, uh, our friend in the chat room, Mr. Punky, um, who is, who is now, uh, across the world from us. Um, he's, he's instead of down the street from me, practically he is around the world, but, uh, that's where I got my, uh, sailor pro gear from. I don't know if you know that, but, uh, that's an awesome pen. Awesome pen.

Myke Hurley: Yep.

Brad Dowdy: So for this category, I went right in the middle of both of y'all and I picked the TWSBI 580, but the AL one, the aluminum one with the aluminum bits and the blue one that's just come out. People are, I didn't realize it at first that these, these colored AL, uh, were going to be, I guess, limited run. I mean, they're not, you know, limited edition. They're not calling them that, but once they make them, they're not remaking them. So like people have been hunting down the orange one, which was the first one that came out. Um, and it's just hardly available anymore than the purple one came out, which you can probably still find. And then the blue one's coming out like right now, you're going to start seeing them popping up here pretty soon. Some stores may have them in, some stores may not, but I just love the look of the 580. Um, I think it makes a great, um, great gift, uh, presentation wise and functionality wise. It looks awesome. And then I'd load it up with the Bungbok Sapphire, really, really bright blue ink and match it up with the, the Rodea A5 dot pad. Um, that's kind of like Anna picking the Rodea just for fountain pens and just for coolness from a gift perspective. I think the Rodea is kind of the way to go. Um, I'd love to pick Tomoe River, but it's hard to get like the perfect pad for someone, um, you know, to use, you know, there's lots of options, but like what Rodea does and their whole product lineup to just kind of set up perfectly for gift giving and, and, um, you know, combining it with a fountain pen and a nice ink. So the, the Rodea is my choice for that in the, the 580 and, uh, which I've been using a bunch. I, I, I use the 580 all the time. I seem like I always have one inked up. I bet I've got three of them at least that I rotate through. So, um, love that pen and very highly recommend it. All right, Michael, so we're going to get into, uh, our next combination, but we want to talk about one of our good friends before we move on.

Myke Hurley: We most certainly do. I mean, this is a, a great, all of our sponsors are really good today for this stuff, actually. Uh, so the first sponsor today is the great people over at Pen Chalet. They sell authentic, amazing roller balls, fountain pens, ballpoints, mechanical pencils, and so much more. You're hearing us talk about a bunch of stuff. If you, if there's things here that you like the sound of, go and check out to see if they're on Pen Chalet because they have so many of your favorite brands and they have a good selection. So thank you so much to Pen Chalet for sponsoring Real AFM and the Pen Addict podcast.

Brad Dowdy: And they also have the Sailor Pro Gear series, the orange ones. And it's pretty rare to get a discount on the Sailor Gold nib pens. So using the 15% off is a pretty big chunk on the Sailors. That's a really, really good deal.

Myke Hurley: So where I can today, I will be using the Pen Chalet links in the show notes because you'll get great prices on all this stuff.

Brad Dowdy: Awesome, awesome. All right, Anna. So if you don't have a fountain pen user on your list, but you want to give them something nice to check out, you want to up their writing game, what are you looking at for like a standard pen and paper combo?

Ana Reinert: Well, I did just see the Holiday Special Retro 51. Have you seen it yet? The Twinkle?

Brad Dowdy: I haven't seen that yet.

Ana Reinert: Well, goodness. You apparently aren't on everybody's email list because Friday my phone blew up. Everybody was telling me about it.

Brad Dowdy: I'm pulling it up now. I saw you linked to it, but I was holding off until we got to the show. Okay. Nice. It looks like a Christmas ornament.

Ana Reinert: It looks like a Christmas ornament, which I thought would be perfect for the holiday gift guide. That would make a lovely stocking stuffer. It's like silver. It looks like it's etched to look like a Christmas ornament. And then the cap is gold with a gold clip. So it's just kind of cool. That is cool. I thought it would look excellent with the Field Notes Snowblind.

Ana Reinert: Like the perfect holiday combo.

Brad Dowdy: We need those snowblinds to come in. How does Ron have them and we don't have them yet?

Ana Reinert: I don't know.

Myke Hurley: Distributors, man. We need to become a distributor and then we can get this stuff real quick.

Ana Reinert: I know. I'll be in Chicago on Wednesday. Am I going to have to drive over there?

Brad Dowdy: Just to get your order.

Ana Reinert: A little roughing them up?

Brad Dowdy: Yeah, really. Take them out back and smack them around a little bit.

Ana Reinert: No, but in general, I mean, I think, you know, a retro 51 is always a good intro for a lot of people into sort of their first non-disposable.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah, I don't know about your email inbox, Anna, but the lot of, you know, emails I get about recommendations, a lot of my responses include something something retro 51, right?

Ana Reinert: Yes.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah, it's just kind of a good fit for a lot of things.

Ana Reinert: Yep. Yep. Somebody asking for, I want to get somebody a, their first, not, not a disposable pen or.

Brad Dowdy: Mm-hmm. Yeah, and not, and not a Mont Blanc.

Ana Reinert: Yes. Yes. Right. So I'm usually sending them either to Karis Customs or to retro 51.

Brad Dowdy: Yep. Exactly. Exactly. Exactly. So, Michael, what do you have?

Myke Hurley: So for me, retro 51, flat out, always, it's got to be, for me, like, it just works so perfectly. They look great. There's so many different styles. They fit so many different people. Like, for example, I don't like the look of the tornado twinkle, but there are a million other types of retro 51s that you can get your hands on. So I'm always down with that. And I think, so I was thinking about this because I always say field notes here for the standard paper thing. Mm-hmm. But I think this time I'm going to say Baron Fig Confidant. Mm-hmm. Because I think that for people in your life that maybe are using Moleskens and stuff like that, you could get them onto a confidant really easily. Because they look nice. You know, they're kind of similar in format. And I think it would be a good step to move them even further down into different paths going to the future, I think. So I just gave Adina my work play confidant, and she's very happy with it. So that's a scene, like, for me, like, that is a good kind of step in stone to take people on to kind of the next point.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah. No, I think you're right. You know, that is something you kind of plant the seed, if you will, that there's some other things out there like that. So that's good. So on this one, I went super budget conscious on this one. This is, like, a good, like, blind gift to give someone or what do they call it, a white elephant gift or anyone who you think might be into stationary. And you could just, you know, spend, like, $10 or $15 and, you know, pop it on their desk at work and see what they like. I went with the Uniball Sino DX 0.38, any color. I put down black, but, you know, I like the blue-black. And all their other colors are really, really bright and sharp. And I put down any field notes. I just think it's kind of, like, the perfect setup just to get someone kind of riding, you know, into the stationary things. You know, a three-pack of field notes and a single gel ink pen, you know, won't cost you that much. But it kind of makes a little neat little presentation, I think. And using something like the DX will give them a feel for what, like, a decent pen is that, you know, they're not getting from the office supply cabinet or something like that. So, you know, I think you can really kind of put the sneak attack on some people if you're getting them a little pen and a notebook like this for a gift. And you could even buy a three-pack of field notes and three pens and break them up, give them to three different people, see what they think. It'd be super cheap. It'd be a good way to go.

Brad Dowdy: Okay, let's move to the pencil and paper combo. This is going to be an interesting one. What do you got, Anna?

Ana Reinert: I kept with my trend of continuing to spread the love of the Koh-I-Noor Magic Pencil.

Myke Hurley: So what is that thing? Because I'm taking a look at this and it looks like crazy pants.

Ana Reinert: It is crazy pants. It is my favorite. And I'm literally, I'm going to have to start buying them in cartons, not cases, like not 12, like not in a dozen, but like in 144. Because I keep giving them away. They, each pencil, the lead actually has yellow, blue, and red mixed into the lead. So it's like a colored pencil, but it's all three colors. And so as you write and turn the pencil, it changes color.

Brad Dowdy: That's so cool.

Ana Reinert: So it's hugely entertaining. It's so much fun. It's great to doodle with and play with. And everybody who has used one gets all tickled and just has fun. And it's, it's like, it's one of those pencils that I end up taking with me to a meeting with a pen. And so then I can kind of use it as like a highlighter almost, like to sort of underline things or to add a little doodle or a note with it. And they're just, they're super unique. They're super fun. And I've kind of have, I have one on my desk all the time now. And everybody who uses it or I give one to gets very tickled. It just sort of brings out the kid in everybody. Yeah. So I think it's one of those things that like, again, it's, they're like about $2 a piece. I did discover that CW Pencils now sells them individually. So it's like, next time you order from, from CW, just throw one in your cart, get a note just to try it out.

Ana Reinert: And see if it doesn't bring out the kid in you or give it to a friend and see if they like it or to your kids. I just think they're super cool.

Brad Dowdy: I'm all about this. I'm definitely going to get some of these. I don't have any of these yet, but I definitely love the way these, these look. I remember having some of these, it seemed like when I was a kid, but certainly probably not as cool as this.

Ana Reinert: But I found out about it because I saw an article in the New York Times about an artist. And now I'm totally blanking on the name. And if somebody's super clever and Googles my site really quickly, I'll remember. It was like Milton Glaser or somebody like that. Says he always carries one and he uses it for his sketches because it makes his sketches look more artistic. Nice. And it kind of like worked its way back and eventually Koh-I-Noor actually picked up the article. Oh, wow. Picked up my article and then found out that Milton Glaser had mentioned it. Like they found out about the New York Times article like backwards for me and everything. But anyway, so. That's awesome. I just think they're super cool and they're really fun. And the gold, the gold ones are the ones that he uses.

Brad Dowdy: Nice.

Sketchbooks[edit]

Ana Reinert: But yeah, no, so they're fun. And I figured it'd be a perfect pairing with the Stillman and Byrne sketchbook.

Myke Hurley: Yeah.

Ana Reinert: Because they're like my absolute favorite sketchbooks. And not a lot of people know about them. But they're super high quality paper and you can use kind of any, almost any material on them. You can use ink, watercolor, charcoal, pencil, anything. They'll take tons of abuse. And JetPens carries them. So they're easy to get.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah. So I actually have one of those notebooks laying around. I have some like doodles in and it takes like heavy markers. You can just kind of go to town, do anything you want in there. Love them. Love them. All right, Michael, what do you have for pencil paper combo?

Myke Hurley: I'm going to go for the Rotaring 600 mechanical pencil. So anyone that's been listening to this show over the last few months knows that I've fallen in love with mechanical pencils. And the Rotaring 600 just ticks so many boxes for me. It's just, it's a great line. It's got a lot of history behind it. It's an iconic design. And, you know, you can't really go wrong with a Rotaring, I think. So I'm a big, big fan of that. I've really been enjoying mine. I'm still using the Lava one a lot, but I do have the standard Rotaring 600, which is the one I'm recommending. Because the Lava one is super expensive, I think, right? To try and find, to try and track down. But this is also just a great gift for people who like nice things. Because this is a design that so many people just know.

Myke Hurley: Because it is so iconic.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah, it's a pencil you'll see, like, popping up in just, like, gear or gadget lists that aren't stationary related. But it's just such a cool design. It fits in with all those types of things. It's awesome. And we make an awesome gift. And it's honestly not that expensive for a pencil you're going to have for, you know, a decade or more.

Myke Hurley: Yeah, for sure. So we've got that. And then for me, also just field notes, I would say. You know, I love field notes with all types of utensils. But they obviously will universally work better with pencils, right? You're not getting any bleed through. Like, there's nothing that can upset anybody with field notes and a pencil. So that's what I would say there. Just because whilst I am happy to use them of all types. I know not everybody is. But they're always going to work great with a good pencil.

Brad Dowdy: Right, right. So for mine, I have gone down the rabbit hole of wood case pencils pretty hard. And I'm just still kind of trying all different kinds. You know, our friends over at the Erasable Podcast have hooked us, you know, you and I up with different sampler packs. And for a while there, I was going with the Tombow Mono 100 as my favorite pencil. But I can't put down the Blackwing 602. It's just the coolest looking pencil.

Graphite Pencils[edit]

Brad Dowdy: The graphite is like a perfect grade. It holds a point really, really well. And I can put in, even though the erasers stink, I can put in orange erasers in the tip of mine to customize them a little bit. So they kind of have that little orange flair on the end of them. I love this pencil. It's the one I reach for the most. I carry a bag of probably about a little case of about 12 pencils or so. And this one I pull out nine times out of ten. I should just take all the other ones out because they're not getting any use. I'm using it for show notes today. You know, I just love, love this pencil. And for a good paper to go with pencil, I know the Word notebooks, the standard ones, are always really good with pencil. They're not really good with fountain pens. But it's a good feedback type of paper for pencils and graphite. And they've come out with a brand new design, finally. And I kind of mentioned something about it in my last review I did. You know, where do they go from here? Well, they've come out with a dot grid, Word notebooks, and it looks really, really nice. And the paper should be the same as the standard Word notebooks. So it's going to be awesome for pencil. And I don't have any of these yet, but I want to get some because they look nice. And I like how they've just taken the dot grid pattern and just made the cover the same way. It looks really, really cool. So that would be my, the Blackwing 602 and the Word Notebooks dot grid would be my recommendation.

Brad Dowdy: So Ana, have you tried the new Word Notebooks dot grid yet? By chance?

Ana Reinert: I haven't tried them.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah. They just came out, like, I don't know, past a couple, two or three weeks. So I want to see if the paper is the same. I would wager they are. And if they are, it's going to be perfect for pencils.

Ana Reinert: Oh, good.

Brad Dowdy: All right. So we got, we have a few more to get through here. But we got another one of our really good friends. It's like the perfect, the perfect sponsor for this episode. So just like Pen Chalet before and Karis Customs now. So what do you got for us today, Myke?

Myke Hurley: Good friends over at Karis Customs are sponsoring this week's episode. They are an awesome pen maker based in Mesa, Arizona. All of their stuff is made in their shop and they are proud that they are based in the US of A. These guys make a whole range of awesome pens that you will have heard us talk about endlessly on the show because we love them. Like the Render K, the Ink, the Bolt, the Retract and the all new EDK and Fountain K. Their newest pens feature new colors and textures not previously available in any of their other lines. And their fountain pens now use nibs manufactured by Peter Bock, known for their quality products in the industry. You can choose the materials these pens are made of. You have choices of aluminium, brass or copper, allowing you to customize your pen with the balance and weight and texture that fits perfectly for you and your style. They also do some awesome colors that you can choose from too. They have really bright, vivid aluminium models that let you express yourself with some flair. And as I've seen in the past, you buy a couple of different ones and you can mix and match, which I really love, you know. Buy a couple of Render Ks in different colors. You can mix and match them up. I love that. These pens are made with such great care and materials that they only get better with time. I'm such a huge fan of their products. They really make amazing stuff. And I buy everything they do. We all do. Because we know that they're made of loving care from pen addicts like us. People really, really care about this stuff. The folks over at Karis Customs have a super great connection with their customers. They're part of this community like the rest of us. They make their pens by hand. They ship them out to you guys. And they want to interact with you, as you see on their social media, like on their Instagram, because they want to see that you're enjoying them as much as they love making them. Our friends over at Karis Customs are offering a huge 20% discount this weekend. You get 20% off this weekend for listeners of the pen addict if you use the code BLACKFRIDAY when you're in your shopping cart before checkout. This offer is good from Thanksgiving, so the 26th of November, to Cyber Monday, the 30th of November, and includes everything in the store. So, stock up on gifts for the holidays with this fantastic discount. It's 20% off with the code BLACKFRIDAY. Thank you. That's all one word, by the way, BLACKFRIDAY. Thank you so much to Karis Customs for supporting this week's episode of the pen addict and RelayFM.

Brad Dowdy: Oh, it didn't ding like normally. I was trying to get the, I got the new ink in, and it usually has that tuning fork little sound. So that was the clip of the new ink. And the new colors are awesome. The brown anodization and the olive green. I've got Dan sent me the brown ink version 2 with an aluminum section. And the nibs are inset a little bit in the section. And the new Bach nibs are awesome. I absolutely adore this pen. I love the first model of the ink. This one is even better, dare I say. They're both awesome. The thing that amazes me about the ink and also the Fountain K, which he also sent me a Fountain K, in tumbled aluminum. Sorry, I'm playing with, I'm making noise here. With a brass section. So the Fountain K takes the number 5 Bach nib. The ink takes the number 6 Bach nib. So it's a little bit smaller on the Fountain K. What's awesome about these is they're full metal barrels. But they are so light and so just weighted really, really well for writing that you can just kind of go all day with them. And that's what fascinates me about these pens the most. That they're not too heavy. They're like just the right weight. Just the right comfort to be able to use. And really these new colors that they've done are just fantastic. So using that 20% off code is kind of a no brainer.

Ana Reinert: Now I want to see if I can make the tuning fork noise. Nope.

Brad Dowdy: Nope. There you go. There it goes. There it goes. My old one does it. But yeah, this one's more snappier. So version 2 has a snap. Version 1 goes ding.

Ana Reinert: I got the olive green with brass grip. How good does that look?

Brad Dowdy: Tell us about it. It really is.

Ana Reinert: It's super, super amazing. And I will give you guys a little hint about the review that I'm going to post tomorrow about it. It is exactly the same color as my 1981 Vespa PK 125. What? I am not kidding you.

Brad Dowdy: So are there going to be pictures? There are going to be pictures?

Ana Reinert: Oh, yes.

Brad Dowdy: Oh, yes. This is going to be good.

Ana Reinert: And I've been teasing Dan that there are going to be amazing pictures tomorrow. But I wouldn't tell him what they were. So this is the first he's heard about it either.

Brad Dowdy: Oh, this is going to be so good. Okay. I can't wait to that. I definitely want to see that. I can't wait. That's going to be awesome.

Ana Reinert: Yeah. But as soon as I took it out of the box, I'm like, I know exactly what color this is.

Pocket Carry[edit]

Brad Dowdy: That's fantastic. Yeah. All right. So next gift list item is the pocket and portable carry setup. So what would you do, Anna, for someone looking, you know, you got a friend that needs to have that portability in mind when they're using their stationary items. What would you recommend this year?

Ana Reinert: This is going to be so incredibly ironic. After talking about my Army Green scooter, that I decided that as a girl, I knew you guys were going to talk about your everyday carry kind of stuff. And as a girl, I usually never have any pockets. Girl clothes don't have pockets. So I never, ever have any place to put anything. So I'm always carrying some sort of bag or purse or some kind of thing with stuff. So usually I'm carrying a larger item, which means I don't usually have to think about a pen small enough to fit in the front pocket of pants or something like that. Because my pants don't usually have pockets big enough to put anything in. So I said, you know what? I'm really going to think about what am I, what do I normally carry with me on a daily basis? Or would be like the appropriate gift type thing. And I came up with, what would I really want someone to give me? Or do I think someone I know would really want as a gift, as like a portable thing? And everybody I know right now wants the Kate Spade, Wellesley, Rose Gold personal planner. It's blingy, it's gold, it zips up, and it has a little slot in the side for a pen.

Brad Dowdy: That's perfect.

Ana Reinert: It's very pretty, it's very girly, and it's totally the opposite of an Army Green scooter.

Brad Dowdy: That's amazing.

Ana Reinert: It's totally the opposite, and it's going to be totally the opposite of you guys talking about some kind of everyday carry tactical pen. But I figured I was going to be the antithesis of what you guys are going to talk about.

Brad Dowdy: Well, it's definitely on the other end of the scale, but me and Myke, I know Myke, and I pretty much know me. We don't do too crazy tactical stuff. It's a little bit too gaudy for most of our likes. So I like your aspect of it, though. You definitely bring, that's why we have to have you on, like as a regular guest, to talk some sense into us. And to get us on the right track of what everyone carries, not just what I carry. You know, things like that. So, yeah, I think that's absolutely perfect and ideal.

Ana Reinert: Thanks. You didn't tease me too badly.

Brad Dowdy: Oh, my God, no. Are you kidding me? I think it's great. I think it's awesome. So, Michael, so what's your tactical pen that you're going to carry for your setup?

Myke Hurley: So I really struggle with this category.

Myke Hurley: Because, you know, I don't really go in, I don't really have an everyday carry kind of thing. Yep.

Brad Dowdy: I was going to say, it's not really your perfect setup either. This is not something that you necessarily do.

Myke Hurley: No. So I would say, look, Field Notes already work for this because they're so small. And for me personally, like, I just carry whatever pen I'm currently using, right? I don't have pens that are so big they don't fit in my pockets, right? But if I was going to pick something, and, you know, I know that we just had them as a sponsor, but I would like to think that people know that they can trust my opinion regardless. But the EDK works really well because whilst the Retro 51 can fit in your pocket, the fact that you need to twist it kind of goes against what a lot of people use this type of stuff for, right? Which is like quick access. And because the EDK has the same great refill and it's a knock mechanism, for people that do like and use these kinds of things, that works really well for that, I think.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah, I do carry the EDK actually on the outside of my backpack that I take to work. That's how much I enjoy that pen. It just sits there so I can grab it whenever I need it. I love that pen. I think it's a good portable pen. It's the right size, right feel and everything. What I did is I actually do enjoy this category because I usually carry a pen in my pocket and in my front pocket and a notebook in a back pocket or a side pocket. And I really have been carrying the Kaweco Lilliput a lot, particularly the brass wave model. But any of the steel models or brass models feel really good as opposed to like the basic aluminum one. The aluminum one is really, really light. You know, it's kind of an expensive pen for something so small and something that's, you know, you're not going to sit at a desk and want to write all day with the Lilliput because it's too small. So it is a little bit of an expensive splurge for like a pocket carry pen. But that paired up with the NotCo.Dash pocket notebook. You know, I do own the company. So, you know, full disclosure there. But I love that notebook. That's my favorite notebook. I've filled up more of those notebooks this year than any other notebook. I like the format and I like the paper because it works good with anything, any fountain pen or pencil, the whole range of pens. And I like the format of that. So, you know, the pen is awfully expensive. But for someone who's into that type of thing, it's pretty cool. And Kaweco has really expanded the Lilliput line to have just, you know, they have that fire blue, which is a beautiful, beautiful pen. Awfully, awfully expensive. But they just did a recently did a steel one, which I'm just kind of like drooling over. And I don't have that one yet, but I carry the brass wave one, which has been my favorite so far.

Brad Dowdy: All right. We have a new entry into the gift guide this year that I'm pretty excited about. And, you know, our regular listeners will kind of know what this is. And Anna, we haven't talked about it specifically, but I assume you're into the adult coloring scene.

Ana Reinert: I would say I'm into it only so far as I work for a company that makes them.

Myke Hurley: Yeah, exactly. It's pretty far in.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah.

Ana Reinert: I'm in up to my eyeballs. Yeah.

Brad Dowdy: So let's hear about it. I knew that was coming. So let's hear about all your good stuff.

Ana Reinert: Well, I'm actually pretty excited about it from the perspective that when the whole adult coloring book stuff kind of really started to get ramped up, Hallmark kind of jumped in with both feet, which is not something our company is known to do. They're very cautious about trends. They're always afraid that they're going to jump in and the bottom will drop out and no one will buy it. And then we'll be stuck with a bunch of stuff. So when they did it and it was very successful, we were all very excited that they were brave enough to do it.

Ana Reinert: But they did one, I guess, maybe right about August, I think, July or August, they released one that was called, I think it was like Artists of Hallmark Coloring Book. And that was also really brave because they tend to not talk about the fact that there are people at Hallmark that actually make this stuff at Hallmark. So we were like, yay, hey, you recognize that there are people who work here and you put our names on the back. Yay. So they've done a whole bunch now. There's about six, I think, that are listed on the Hallmark website. So they did one where it's like drawings of the keepsake ornaments. So if you know anybody who really, really likes the Hallmark keepsake ornaments, it's basically based on the drawings that the keepsake ornament artists did before they actually carve them. And then they make them into molds and they actually make the ornaments. They did some of Maxine, the cartoon character, as well as several different ones that were just, you know, illustrations from the Hallmark artists. But then some of my friends from work have also done some of their own through other companies and stuff. So I think that's really exciting, too. So Flora Chang, Sarah Walsh, and even Crayola, which is a division of Hallmark, has started doing using Hallmark art to do adult coloring books.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah, I just saw the Crayola stuff just starting to come out here recently. I mean, it might have been around for a while, but I've just noticed it here very, very recently.

Ana Reinert: No, they've just started releasing them. The beginning of November, they released, I think, three sort of box sets that came with like pencils or markers that are like basically flat pieces. They're not like in books, but like flat pieces that come in a box that you can frame them. And then, I guess, a week ago, they announced some book versions that are actually some of my friends, Hallmark artists. And the only links that I could find about them were from the Nerdist, which I was totally entertained because I'm a huge Nerdist fan. So I'm like, that was the only link that I could find to send to you guys. So I'm like, look, it's my friend Terry. Yay!

Brad Dowdy: That's so cool.

Ana Reinert: Yeah. So it looks like those will roll into places like Target and stuff like that, like just in time for Christmas.

Brad Dowdy: Cool. So when you're coloring, like if you're going to sit down and color, what kind of pens or pencils are you using?

Ana Reinert: I love colored pencils. Those are my favorite because you can kind of smoosh all the colors together and you don't really have to worry about anything drying out. So you can kind of just leave, like if you're done, you can just sort of leave everything laying around and you don't have to worry about anything drying out or anything like that. Although I do really like the Statler triplets.

Myke Hurley: Yeah. Markers. Yeah. I'm all about those.

Ana Reinert: All of the colors. I now have them all.

Myke Hurley: Yeah. I got the 30 pack. Yay! Which is magical. Colt Pen sent me that. They were very kind. Oh, that's sweet. Yeah. Because I bought the 10 pack, right? Then bought the 20 pack and kept talking about the 30 pack on the air. So like when they got them in, they were just like, we're just sending them to you. Like when you keep doing this. So like I just got up in stages that they sent me a 30, which I was very, very happy with.

Ana Reinert: Very exciting.

Myke Hurley: Because they were going out of stock quicker than I was able to put my order in, right? That was the problem.

Ana Reinert: Wow.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah. It's a huge deal. You know, Colt Pens was one of the first to kind of like pick up and like, at least that I noticed, you know, in our little circles. One of the first like pen, online pen stores to really kind of embrace that, embrace the adult coloring stuff. So they've done a good job with that. So what are you coloring in, Myke, with your statlers?

Myke Hurley: So I'm still working on the secret garden, the Joanna Bashford secret garden. But I did just buy. So for my cousins for Christmas, I just bought them two packs of the statler triplus. I bought one of them secret garden and one of them is it lost ocean.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah. Lost ocean, man.

Myke Hurley: I wish I would have waited for the lost ocean. That is way more my scene than secret garden. Yeah. Like, there's just, I don't know, like, I just like the patterns in it and stuff more, really, to be honest. But, hey, I'm going to, I'm not going to ditch it. Like, I've done so little in the secret garden, you know, like I've so few of the things have actually been colored in. Right. Because it takes me so many hours to do these things that I'm just going to, I'm just going to stick to it because it's very beautiful. Right. But the things to illustrate in the lost ocean, it's just more kind of, I don't know, it feels like it's more my taste than some of the flowery stuff. But the flowers allow me to do nice little patterns and things like that. So it all works out. But in all honesty, for me, like, I'm not really that fussed about what I'm coloring in. It's just the action of doing it.

Brad Dowdy: Yep. Yep. Exactly. Well, I got a new coloring book here about a week or two ago from my friend OCAT at Doodlers Anonymous. Probably a bunch of listeners are probably familiar with that website. And for years, they have put together a coloring book, you know, with different artists. And this one's called the Doodlers Anonymous Epic Coloring Book. It's got illustrations from 90 different artists. So it's 90 pages. Each artist did one page. And it's just, it really is an epic coloring book. There's all kinds of different scenes, all kinds of different styles of artwork, all kinds of different types of drawings for you to color in. And I think it's going to be really cool. I haven't yet dug into it yet, but I'm flipping through the pages. I was like, yeah, this is, this is my style here. This is, this is my scene, you know, compared to like the Secret Garden, which I love for like the fine detailed work. But this has some wild stuff in it. So definitely check that out if you want a little bit of an edgier coloring book, if you will. And I'm just fascinated, fascinated by this, this coloring book. I keep flipping through it. And I gotta, I gotta start working on it. And I'm torn with the, I use the, the Triplus Fineliners too. Um, but a friend, friend of the, friend of the show, Matthias from Blystift sent me a 24 pack of the Statler Norris color colored pencils, which I'm going to use for the Doodler's Anonymous epic coloring book. I want to make some epic colored pencil work in there. So they should be, that should be a pretty good, pretty good pairing. So if you're looking for something, uh, a little bit, uh, off the reservation, as far as coloring books go, this Doodler's Anonymous, uh, epic coloring book might be the one you're looking for.

Personal Picks[edit]

Brad Dowdy: All right. I'm, I'm interested to see what's going to happen with this last topic that we got some personal kind of one-off picks, you know, kind of the, the extra, extra things we're, we're looking at. So I want to get to that, but let's, let's talk about one of our, our good friends at Harry's.

Myke Hurley: For many of us, shaving can be a pain. It's uncomfortable. It's uncomfortable to our wallet as well as our skin because it can cause nicks and cuts and scrapes and razor burns. But shaving and shaving, changing the blades over very frequently. So you get the best shave possible can be really expensive. And this is what Harry's is here to do. Harry's make their own blades. They have high quality, high performing German blades crafted by shaving experts in a factory that they own in Germany. But because they own the factory and they own all the process, they're able to pass the savings back on to you guys. They offer a high quality shave at about half the price of other big brand blades. Harry's razors and Harry's blades and Harry's products will ship free to your front doorstep. And their starter set is an amazing deal for just $15. You'll get yourself a razor, moisturizing shave cream or foaming shave gel and three razor blades to go along with it. It's a real great set, which is a good thing to think about with the holidays coming up. On average, an everyday shaver saves $150 a year on blades using Harry's. And with Harry's, your satisfaction is guaranteed because that's so important to them. I love the look and design and everything about Harry's products. They've got this really kind of super cool retro Mad Men vibe to them that I really like. You know, I like to think that I'm Don Draper when I'm tidying up the edges of my beard. Because that's what I use Harry's products for, right? They have really great razors and they're really nice and they do a good job. And I'm able to kind of, because I keep a beard, but keep like the lines and keep my neck and everything and my cheeks and everything all nicely taken care of. I love their facial products as well. They have a great aftershave moisturizer, which is really good to use because it keeps your skin soft and moisturized after using shaving products. And they have their great foaming shave gel as well, which I really like. So you just spray this little gel on your hand and rub your hands together and it turns into foam. It's like shaving magic. You can experience a clean, close, comfortable shave for yourself with Harry's. Go to harrys.com right now and you'll get $5 off if you type in my coupon code, which is penaddict, of course, with your first purchase. That's harrys.com. Use the code penaddict to check out. You get $5 off and start shaving better today. Thank you so much to Harry's for their support of this show.

Brad Dowdy: It's like shaving magic. I like that. And that should be their new tagline.

Myke Hurley: They can choose that. They won't have to pay me any extra. They can just have it.

Brad Dowdy: All right. Well, we've got stationary magic coming up now. So we have some personal picks where we did these kind of groupings before, all these different combos of, you know, if you have certain people who are into certain type of things, you know, hopefully we gave you some good ideas for that. But now we just have some random one-off stuff. So Ana, why don't you talk about what else is on your list for our gift guide?

Ana Reinert: I couldn't think of anything.

Brad Dowdy: You, of all people? I know.

Ana Reinert: I know. To be honest, this has been a year where I feel like I've been really lucky with all of the things that I've gotten to do and all of the great stuff that I've gotten. That I've had some health issues and I've been getting better. And that has been sort of the greatest gift at this point. So I feel like I can't really ask for anything else right now.

Brad Dowdy: That's super awesome. I've been talking to you behind the scenes and I'm glad you're feeling better. Thanks. You're awesome. And I just want you to continue to be awesome. Thanks. All right, Michael, what do you got for your personal picks?

Myke Hurley: Now I feel bad.

Brad Dowdy: I know, right?

Myke Hurley: How can you follow that? So I'm just going to, well, the way that you follow it is by talking about somebody that's also very nice, which is Myke Dudek. Like, I have been really enjoying using the groove again. Like that, I was using some of the other ones. I was using the cube and stuff on my desk for a while. But I decided to pick up the groove, which is the one. It's got like nine pen holes and then a slot for like for notebooks. And I like having everything just nicely all in one now. So I have like a couple of field notes books and some of my favorite pens just on my desk all in one container or unit. So that's really good to have again. So I've been enjoying using that. So that's the top pick from me. Here's a kind of a weird one. I have been using a Wacom Intuos tablet for a while with my iMac. And I did it because I was starting to get some wrist pains. So I wanted to like change around some of the input methods that I use. And I was getting some pain in my right hand. Considering that I am left handed with this stuff, I figured, well, why not try and use a pen tablet? So I've been using a pen tablet for a while. And I've been really, really happy with the results of it. And I'm really enjoying using the Wacom tablet as a way to interact with my Mac.

Ana Reinert: You know, I actually started using a Wacom many years ago because I had a lot of wrist and elbow pain like right out of college. And I think it basically saved my design career because it did make a huge difference. I think like gripping like a mouse or whatever was really made me tense. But holding like a pen, you kind of you hold a pen differently depending on what you're doing, you know, depending on what kinds of motions. You can kind of move it around in your hand. You don't grip it as much. You kind of hold it loosely. But yeah, I do recommend if you if you can get get over the first sort of two weeks of awkwardness.

Ana Reinert: Have you tried doing it in your left hand at all, Myke?

Myke Hurley: Oh, that's I'm 100 percent left hand with it.

Ana Reinert: Oh, good, good. Yeah, because I can't imagine trying to do it in my right hand. I would look so ridiculous.

Myke Hurley: I mean, that's part part of it for me was where I was getting pain in my right hand because that's what I was using to use a mouse with. So this enables me to rest that hand. And it's and I genuinely believe that if I wouldn't have made some sort of change and I would be in a bit of trouble right now. So I'm still getting the pains in my my right hand and my right arm are getting better. And I'm really enjoying using the Wacom tablet. So, you know, it might just be nice. It's just a nice way. It's a very different way to control your devices. And I think for pen addicts, it kind of fits quite nicely as a way to do it. Right. We're very used to moving in hands in that way.

Ana Reinert: And then the last thing, are you using a large one or a small one? Yes, I think it's medium.

Myke Hurley: I think I went with I didn't I didn't. Yeah, I kind of that felt to me like because I didn't really know what I was buying. I'll go with medium. Medium sounds right.

Ana Reinert: Because I use a really big one at work and then I use a small one at home. So they're slightly different feel.

Myke Hurley: I also for the just the space on my desk, I didn't want to get anything anything too big because I kind of bought it blindly from Amazon. The model was recommended to me by a friend. And I just kind of took a look at what what one to go for. And yeah, that was what I went with. And I haven't looked back. I'm very, very happy with it.

Ana Reinert: Good. Good.

Myke Hurley: The last one for me is I'm only picking this. Well, I'm going to pick the Field Notes Arts and Sciences just because I feel like if I maybe keep talking about this enough that they'll actually make some kind of permanent book in this style format size. So I'm just going to keep mentioning Field Notes Arts and Sciences forever.

Brad Dowdy: Yeah, that's got to happen next year, right? I hope so. It just has to.

Myke Hurley: I hope so. It's got to happen.

Brad Dowdy: So one of the one of the things that I want to try to do next year, I'm not a resolution guy or or anything like that. But one of the things, you know, I want to kind of add to my arsenal and Anna is partly to blame for this. Our friend Amanda, who's in the chat room side of the seas, partly to blame for this. A lot of people are partly to blame for this because I get these awesome letters from everyone in the mail that, you know, when I get something from Anna, you know, it's so detailed. And, you know, her handwriting is awesome. And the detail she has, just the envelope is awesome. And, you know, I get this cool stuff in the mail. I was like, oh, I can't do that. I keep telling myself I can't do that. So I'm not going to I don't know that I'm going to write letters next year, but I've got this postcard set that just came in from Princeton Press. It's called Keep Fresh Stay Rad Postcard Set. It's 100 postcards. So I'm going to start with postcards because these are like the coolest postcards ever. So it's it's 100 of them in a box and they are like this wonderful type, like hand lettered graffiti looking thing. And they come in different there's different groups of the cards. So like you get this little box and they're broken down into 10 sections like salutations, optimism, audiovisual affections. There's one called Strong Language, which is probably my favorite. So let me let me pull out one of these cards. Strong Language cards. So this one says, yeah, so this one says F-N-tastic. So things like that. What is this? S-H-I, you know, whatever. And then there's correspondence, introspection, encouragement. Let's let's pull out an encouragement here. Show enough. That's what this one says. And it's all this cool, like graphical type just for fun. You know, it's all these like graffiti looking cards. So I actually got my wife to buy me some postcard stamps today at the post office. So I'm going to start getting into this and just start writing random people postcards. And maybe I can up my up my game enough to where I'm comfortable, like writing letters and things like that to people in, you know, like Anna does. And, you know, you like go to the mailbox and there's something from Anna in there. And this is like, I don't even want to open this because it's so beautiful on the outside. But so I'm going to work on that next year because I think it's a cool thing to do. And my last thing is the KWZ Iron Gall ink from Van Espenz. They're stocking this ink. It's an unbelievably cool ink product. They're Iron Gall ink. So they kind of change colors as they dry. You know, the formulation of the ink oxidizes with the air, becomes a darker, more permanent ink. And they make colors that you don't normally find in an Iron Gall ink, like turquoise and gummy berry are probably my two favorite inks that I've been using here recently. They're so well behaved. I use them in any pen. They don't scare me, you know, with their Iron Gall properties, things like that. So if you're looking for something, someone, you know, you have someone on your list that's actually a real dedicated fountain pen user and is looking for something kind of neat that's off the beaten path. The KWZ inks, Iron Gall inks, I think are really, really cool and something worth looking at.

Shopping List[edit]

Brad Dowdy: All right, guys, I think we did it. But we have gotten everything in the list. We've got everyone's shopping list filled. We have everyone has a plan now for the holidays for all those stationary people or for people they want to get into stationary. So I think that's it. So thank you, Anna, so much for joining us. And we will have you back sooner rather than later this time. I look forward to it. It was far, far too long. So tell everyone where they can find you online real quick.

Ana Reinert: They can find me at wellappointeddesk.com. They can find me on Twitter at wellapptdesk. And I'm also wellapptdesk on Instagram as well.

Brad Dowdy: Nice.

Ana Reinert: Why that's so hard for me to say, I do not know.

Brad Dowdy: Because you never have to say it out loud. You're usually just typing and it just rolls off the fingers. This is true. When you have to say it out loud, it's always tough.

Ana Reinert: Yeah, they wouldn't let me have enough characters to be wellappointeddesk on either of those. I know. I had to shorten it. I know.

Brad Dowdy: All right, Michael, get us out of here.

Myke Hurley: Anna, thank you so much for joining us. It's always a pleasure.

Ana Reinert: Thank you. Have a wonderful trip.

Myke Hurley: Oh, thank you. Yes, I'm going to be away. But you're all going to hear about that in our next episode, which me and Brad are recording in a few minutes. But you are here for a week. So if you want to keep tuning in, as you should always, head on over to relay.fm slash penaddict slash 182. You're going to find, of course, links to subscribe to the show. If you're not already, you should be subscribed to the show. Where wouldn't you be? There's also links there to all of the great stuff we've spoken about today. There's a ton of links today. I did my best to put everything together for you. Hopefully, I picked up everything that we spoke about. If you would like to find us online, there's a couple of ways you can do that. You can head on over to penaddict.com. That's where you find all of Brad's work. He is at Dowdyism on Twitter, D-O-W-D-Y-I-S-M. And he is penaddict on Instagram. And I am at imike, I-M-Y-K-E, on Twitter and Instagram. Thanks again to our sponsors this week, the great people over at Karis Customs. The lovely folk over at Pen Chalet, and the wonderful guys and girls over at Harry's. Thank you so much for listening. We'll be back next time. Until then, say goodbye, Brad and Anna.
