The bullet journal is a framework invented by Ryder Carroll. It helps its user to capture ideas, to keep track of events and to organise what is currently going on and what is planned for the future.

The Bullet Journal framework[edit]

The bullet journal framework includes:

  • Rapid logging – a system of taking notes very quickly using page numbers, titles, and different bullet icons to distinguish steps taken with tasks.
  • Modules – a way of organising notes in different ways. A page at the beginning is used to add the titles for all entries so they can be referred to later.
  • Monthly log – a calendar and monthly task list.
  • Migration – the transfer of the most relevant pieces from one week or month to the next.

Cooperation with companies[edit]

At the Paperworld 2018 Caran d'Ache introduced a series of products for bullet journaling, this is however not done in cooperation with Ryder Carroll.
