I definitely see the value in the table of companies with date established and location for the companies category, but I'm not sure about it for Brands. Date and HQ of brand? Perhaps instead a table of Brand and Brand Owner? This would show who the latest owner of Shaeffer, Rotring, etc is. I suppose you could even try and track the changes as brands are sold from one corporation to another, but that might be too hard for high level table and best left to a table on the individual brands page.

:Thanks for pointing this out. I just did a copy and paste from Manufacturers without much thinking. I will try to set up owners as a semantic property. --[[User:Memm|Memm]] ([[User talk:Memm|talk]]) 22:15, 10 July 2018 (CEST)

Table of Brands[edit]

I definitely see the value in the table of companies with date established and location for the companies category, but I'm not sure about it for Brands. Date and HQ of brand? Perhaps instead a table of Brand and Brand Owner? This would show who the latest owner of Shaeffer, Rotring, etc is. I suppose you could even try and track the changes as brands are sold from one corporation to another, but that might be too hard for high level table and best left to a table on the individual brands page.

Thanks for pointing this out. I just did a copy and paste from Manufacturers without much thinking. I will try to set up owners as a semantic property. --Memm (talk) 22:15, 10 July 2018 (CEST)
