Special Editions

Over the years there were several special editions:

30 Jahre Lamy (1996)

The 30 Jahre Lamy (30 years Lamy) edition from 1996, featured a body made from grenadill wood with silver plated trim. [1] 10,000 ballpoint pens of this edition were made. [2]

2000 Edition (2000)

A commemorative fountain pen version was produced for the new millennium called the Edition 2000, which features an inverse design of the original: a stainless steel body with Makrolon ring and polished clip. [3]

Keramik (2006)

In 2006 a Keramik or ceramicon edition of the Lamy 200 was being sold. 7,500 ballpoint pens of this edition were manufactured. [4]

Titanium (2009)

This edition of the Lamy 2000 is made of solid titanium and was released in September 2009. [5]

Red (2013)

The Red edition of the Lamy 2000 is a pen set customised by Sir Jonathan Ive and Marc Newson. It sold for US$25,000 at the (RED) charity auction on 23 November 2013. The set includes the LAMY 2000 fountain pen, ballpoint pen, mechanical pencil, rollerball and four-colour ballpoint pen. [6]

Black Amber 50th Anniversary (2016)

2016 celebrates the 50th Anniversary of the Lamy 2000, and with it a special edition of the 2000. Based on the Stainless Steel 2000, this was a new color for the stainless steel 2000. Available as a Ballpoint, Rollerball or Fountain Pen, with a Lamy 50th engraving to denote the special edition.

Taxus

The ballpoint pen of the Taxus edition of the Lamy 2000 is made of golden-yellow yew wood. [7] It is a special edition, but not a limited edition of the Lamy 2000.

Blackwood

The ballpoint pen of the Blackwood edition of the Lamy 2000 is made of grenadilla, or African blackwood. [8] It is a special edition, but not a limited edition of the Lamy 2000.

Metal

The metal edition of the Lamy 2000 features a fountain pen made of stainless steel. [9] It is a special edition, but not a limited edition of the Lamy 2000. Fountain pen, ballpoint pen, mechanical pencil and roller ball are available as part of the Lamy 2000 metal edition.
