Transcripts

Could that be done with dictation software? Audio is very clear, so it might work for 90% of the dialogue. --Memm (talk) 12:07, 22 April 2017 (CEST)

That's what I was thinking, letting the dictation software do a full run and then human(s) goes through to buff out the rough parts.

I thought it may be helpful to spin out the transcript pages as their own page per episode. My thinking was that the transcripts wouldn't completely fill up the episode pages, and so that we can do transcript-specific notes, edits, and links. --aykray (talk) 16:13, 26 April 2017 (CEST)

Sounds great. We could link to the transcripts from the main episode page and put it at e.g. The Pen Addict 253/transcript - we could put the computer version there so everyone can help to fix it. --Memm (talk) 16:25, 26 April 2017 (CEST)

Conference List/Map

Good idea. There is a map extension for Mediawiki, but send like a lot of effort long term with updates etc. We could start a page for now and if it takes off we try to get the map extension to work. --Memm (talk) 19:15, 23 April 2017 (CEST)

Template Talk

Adding a Backstory section to People pages, since almost all guests on TPA get asked that by Brad.

• Podcast episode

Add a 'Network' field on the summary box, and be able to denote specific network(s) per episode, or if they're Independent?

Import from Wikipedia?

There's several pages that could be imported directly from Wikipedia. I'd do it myself, but import privileges are required.

Seems like a great idea. So far I have used copy and past and added the Creative Commons backlinks manually. Our templates are different, so direct imports would presumably result in errors from missing templates. I had a quick look and think import privileges only come with admin status and can't be granted without making a user an admin. Based on how much you have contributed in a short time we could probably decide to make you an admin soon if you are interested. --Memm (talk) 22:52, 23 August 2018 (CEST)
