Many, but not all country specific English language websites of Pentel make some form of claim that the SharpTM P200 is Pentel's most popular model of mechanical pencil. Despite that, the P200 was discontinued in Pentel's Japanese homemarket in c2009, although numerous limited edition versions have continued to be released in Japan. It is available in 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.7mm, and 0.9mm lead sizes, with the last digit of the model number representing the lead size, e.g. P209 is the 0.9mm lead version.
