Due to the spread of the Covid-19 virus, and recommendations by the regional health departments, the showrunners for Scriven Montreal postponed the show from starting May 16, to being held sometime after August 2020, with dates currently unannounced.<ref>Postponement announcement https://scriven-mtl.blogspot.com/2020/04/scriven-2020-postponed.html</ref> As the spring rolled on, the show organizer decided to postpone until May 2021.<ref>Covid update announcement https://scriven-mtl.blogspot.com/2020/05/may-covid-19-update.html</ref>
