== Sailor Pro Gear == '''Unknown Speaker:''' All right. Speaking of that, actually, my next one perfectly comes, uh, along with this. It is the sailor pro gear in orange. Is this translucent? Nope. Solid. Nice. Okay. With the black finial. Yep. Yes. The classic. The classic. That is very similar to the Vermillion in classicness, right? Yes. You, you see it and you know that like, this is, this is of a time and it's of a quality and then it's just like, it's almost a standard, but it's got that unique flair, just like the Vermillion. But also it was my first pro gear, my first sailor. This pen meant a lot to me. Um, you know, I, I first chose one of the first Atlanta pen show. You showed me this and I was like, well, I have to get one of these. And I don't remember when it was that I acquired it. I don't think it was at that pen show. Um, but I was like, oh, this is special. Like, I like the way this looks. I like the way this feels. And at the time was like great value for money, you know? Yeah, exactly. I don't know that it is anymore. Uh, but I think it's just hard to tell, but I've got mine. I'm looking at it right here. This is just from the silver furniture to the black finials, the all orange body and cap. Like it is a classic. Classic. Um, I've gone with a classic pen for number eight, but a very rare and unique finish. So it's a pilot vanishing point is actually making my list, but it's the Energia model. My E N E R G I A orange. Uh, it's a Bungu box special edition. It's glorious. It's like a marbled orange. It's very loud in the best way possible. I feel like I had to have a vanishing point on this, this list because I love it. That pen so much and it's always a joy to use. This is my favorite one. I had a couple of choices here for vanishing point, but I think this one's really, really the standout here. So it has a fine nib, um, great retractable fountain pen, really unique special edition. Um, that kind of like screams Brad. Like this is, this is a very Brad pen. Uh, I have found a link on the pen addict where there is an image of this, but it is not about that. So you can just scroll right down to the bottom and you'll find it was going Kimberly posts about that. Yeah. There's only a hundred of those. Yeah. I think in the wild. So it's one of those. You can see it by scrolling to the very bottom. It was a Bungu box. Yeah. It's a Bungu box. They did two colors. They did silver trim and gold trim. And I have the silver trim one. I think they did like a hundred of each. Yeah. That's it. One, two. Yeah. It's the one kind of in the center. Fourth from the left. So we're on number eight now. Uh, that was number eight. Yeah. Mine is the Jonathan Brooks custom Arushi sailor pro gear. King of pen. Yep. I say absolutely sick. I cannot find any photos of this one. Uh, I've known I've taken them somewhere. I'll try and dig some out for later. Um, but there's, we all bought a king of pen at a really good price. I, it was just like a clear one with, with, uh, dark finials. You found it like it was, I don't remember where we got it from, but they were a good price. Yeah. And was it just me and you that did this? Uh, I didn't, I didn't get it. You, I think you're the only one that got it at Rushi. I think I did something else. Okay. So I then gave it to Jonathan Brooks and he heavily customized it and I didn't, I gave him no direction. I was like, do what you want. And he kind of Rushi lacquered it to like a translucent brown and then added this like gold honeycomb pattern all the way around. It's so good. It's a stunner. Um, so super, super good. All right. Number nine on my list is the sailor pro gear mini Mekon. It's the little short one in orange, another Bungu box special edition, which I didn't realize that I was doing that very repeatedly here. But what's unique about this one, I have a CY stack nib on this one that he made. Um, and it's kind of glorious. Like I wanted, not only do I love the, the small sailor pro gear minis, I also love the way this stack nib doesn't overwhelm a very, very small pen. And the main writing shape of the stack nib is a fine point. And then you can flip it over and get the wide width. It's everything that I would want in a stack nib in a pen that is just glorious. It's the, the tangerine edition of the mini Mekon. Mekon being tangerine, I believe in Japanese. So it was a really cool special edition. They did love it. I'm going to give you a Bungu box now too. This is the one that I mentioned that I added to my list and was very happy to do so. This is the Bungu box pro gear Ibisu. Oh yeah. Which is the gold and black, the gold body black cap. And the grip section is the metal grip section. Correct. And this also has another story. See, a lot of my pens have stories. So this was one that I bought from, I think it was a listener. Okay. And they were going to ship it to me in Las Vegas when we was there on vacation and it got lost. And then arrived at the hotel after I left and I had to work with the hotel to then get it shipped to me at home. Wow. So that pen nearly got lost to the world, but that is a amazing pen. By the way, for these two, I've put in, it's really hard to find Bungu box pens. Yeah. Yeah. They have a page called the history of Bungu box original fountain pen. So you can kind of scroll through and look, you have all of them on this list. So people can go and look through this. Actually, it's a fun thing to look through. I'm happy that they have this because they're so limited that they fall off the internet. But now they are keeping a history of their own, which I'm pleased about. I have history with that pen too. I am an owner of that pen. It's one of the few that we have duplicated. And that's the one that I have dropped on the floor. And given the metal section, it just darts right into the floor. And now it has a posting nib. Speaking of which, number 10 on my list. I almost forgot this when I first went through the nib. Excuse me. I did forget this. I had to go and went. This was my first one where I went, OMG. Why wasn't this like in the first two or three pens? I thought the Pilot 912 PO nib. And also this one has the Macchie artwork on the outside of it that we got from Myke Masayama's friend. This is like one of my favorite pens. Yeah. Like this didn't come up when I was thinking about the pens. And this is like one of my top, top few pens that I use. So that's 100% on the list for me. So that rounds out. That rounds out my 10. And then, man, the list next week is going to be interesting. The list of stuff I have. So what's your last one? My last one is the Bunglebox Pro Gear 4B. Oh, yeah. Jeez. What a good pen. So this is the pen where they, it's essentially clear, but with a pinstripe that runs around it. This pen is just another just killer. That's a stunner. Yeah. Also a metal grip. And it has a B. Although it's actually more like a wasp, but don't worry about it. Yeah. Because the ink was Bungu Box Blue Black. So 4Bs was the theme there, which was great. I love that theme. It's very, very good. Very, very good. This was a lot of fun. But next week, we need to talk about it. I want to go another hour. Yeah. We don't want to have it. But next week, we are going to touch on some pens that we love that did not make this list. Yeah. Because it got a bit brutal down there towards the end. I feel pretty good. Like about my list. I don't know that I would change anything, honestly. I feel good about what we'll say. I say that now, but I don't want to commit to it. Because I might change my mind as I go through everything. But I feel pretty good about it. Yeah. Yeah. If you want to find links to these pens, I've done my best. You can go to relay.fm slash penaddict slash 725, or you can find the links in your show notes as well. If you want to find Brad online, go to penaddict.com and spokedesign.com and twitch.tv slash penaddict. You can find me here at relay.fm, theenthusiast.net, and at cortexbrand.com. Thanks to Squarespace and Penn Chalet for the support of this week's episode. But most of all, thank you for listening. We'll be back next week. Until then, say goodbye, Brad. Bye, Brad.
