'''Brad Dowdy:''' I actually use the ruler in the back of the Field Notes notebooks. Have you ever used that before? No, I never used it. They do. They print it on the edge inside back cover. These are really, really great. Definitely better than like Black Ice. Which was fine. Um. I'm super happy with these.

'''Myke Hurley:''' Yeah. I, I, uh. I don't like the Ledger. I've never liked the Ledger. Sure. Sure. So, I think it's nice that you can choose. I, I wish that as a subscriber, I was going to get the graph. Because graph, graph I'm all about. Like, that's fine for me. Graph is the same as grid in my mind. Like, it's, you know, it's just little boxes. Right. Because you can do what you want with them. Yeah. But Ledger, I'm not so hot on. Um. But that kind of seems like a fact that Adina would like. Honestly, I'll just give those to her. Yeah. But I like the look. I really, I really, really like the, the, the bottoms of them where it shows what paper's inside. I think that's a super nice touch. And it looks really different to anything they've done before. Right. Because everything else is just like a pure, right? Like, it's just all one color. And then it has a little design element on the bottom that I like. Um. You know how I like it. You know, I've been talking about this for weeks about having a story. Um. And the ruler adds to the story of the notebook. Um. So, yeah. That works really well.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. It's definitely on that construction bit like the Workshop Companion was. Um. The, the black and yellow colors here are definitely. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Um. Common in like the construction world. Um. Even though these are in the hipster world. Mm-hmm. There's that, uh, crossover look. It's very cool. Um. I'm happy with it. I, I really, really like it. So, this looks like it's the, uh, the good stock too. The 70 pound Mohawk vellum.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Which is, uh, probably my favorite that they do. So, these should be excellent. I think they'll do well. Um. Um. You know, they'll. Not speak to everybody. But I'm pretty happy with these. So, we'll see how they are when they get in. But I, I love the bright, the, the yellow covers. Yeah. And for me, this is gonna. The black, the black highlights. Yeah, exactly.

'''Myke Hurley:''' Uh, for me, this is gonna hire. Uh, this is all gonna hinge on how the cover looks. Mm-hmm. And how it feels. Like, it looks like it's gonna be pretty good. But like, I feel like this might be a color you have to like, see to be like, whoa, look at this. Look at this color. It's yellow. Yeah. But, uh, yeah, I like them. You know, it's, it's, it's, this isn't a blow to doors off edition. Sure. Um. But it's, it's a basic edition, which they've done well. Um, they haven't done anything crazy with. Right. Um, and like, so I, I think of something like Shenandoah.

'''Myke Hurley:''' Because Shenandoah was a basic edition, but it didn't, it didn't do it for me. I didn't like that edition. Right. But this is a basic edition that has got some design elements that I quite like.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Right. So, yeah, it's funny you say that. Like, I'm trying to think back of what this edition is comparable to. And in, as far as, you know, how it lines up with the rest of the group. And I think it's the Shenandoah. It's not going to like sell out immediately or be almost gone like lunacy, but it's going to be a good quality edition, even though a lot of people thought Shenandoah was too plain. I loved it. Um, because of the green, but, um, this is going to be right there at like that range for me in, in the grand scope of field notes things. So, yeah, I am, uh, I'm excited to get these. These look fantastic.

'''Myke Hurley:''' Yeah. Um, it feels like it's focusing again on what these notebooks are used for. Exactly. Which I like. Um, and a real good use case, which I think they tried to highlight with the workshop companion as well is like people use these like when they're building stuff.

And so, yeah, I think this is a, this is a return to that idea, which I, which I do also enjoy because it's nice to focus on what the things are used for because sometimes the most beautiful ones are the ones that are the least usable. Right. Um, so I like to have the balance.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Right. Yeah. Just like, you know, people use these to do work. And I got an email, um, last week that wanted to praise the expedition edition because they're a construction worker and they need that. And I said, that's exactly why this edition was built. And, you know, I love that you have that specific use case for this. And that's what makes this stuff so cool.

'''Myke Hurley:''' Uh, edition size of 35,000 packs, which is just up from black ice, but the same amount was lunacy. Yeah.

'''Myke Hurley:''' I expect it's because they had to go with, they did two different papers. So they probably had to push the run up a little bit higher.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. Yeah.

'''Myke Hurley:''' Which would go in line with lunacy as well. Right. Because lunacy had like two different cover types as well as the paper.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Oh gosh. Yeah. Lunacy was a big, big event. Yeah. So I wonder if the edition size is cut right down, right in half of the two patterns. I'm sure. I would assume it is.

'''Myke Hurley:''' Maybe. Maybe. They might know a little bit more about customer preferences, right?

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Is it 60, 40 grid? Like that would be something like that.

'''Myke Hurley:''' That's what I would expect. I would expect you'd make more grid than, than ledger, but I mean, they'll know how well the ledger ones have done in the past.
