== Topic Shift - Upcoming Event == '''Brad Dowdy:''' Cool, cool. Well, you buried the lead a little bit in that story, which we're going to get to in just a second, which you don't know about, but let's talk about how good I'm going to look next week. '''Myke Hurley:''' Okay, there's something happening. There's always, there's always a thing happening. We just keep surprising each other. Today's show is also brought to you by Harry's. Did you know that the average person can spend 3,000 hours of their life shaving? That's a lot of hours. Don't waste four total months of your own lifetime overpaying and using poor performing razors. Get Harry's blades. They are razors that are so sharp you can shave less often and you're going to save money as well. Harry's was founded by two guys that were tired of paying for overpriced gimmicks. Vibrating heads, flexible balls, handles that look like props from sci-fi movies. These are some of the weird and peculiar tactics that leading brands have used to overcharge people for years. Harry's makes quality durable blades at a fair price. Just $2 per blade. To keep prices low, they cut out the middle person and bought their own factory in Germany that makes some of the best razor blades in the world for like 100 years nearly. And now they can provide these great quality blades at factory direct prices. Harry's offers a 100% quality guarantee. If you don't love your shave, let them know and they will give you a full refund. Brad, tell me something. '''Brad Dowdy:''' I'm going to pack all the Harry's things for next week, Myke. And guess what Harry's has now? '''Myke Hurley:''' What do they have now? '''Brad Dowdy:''' Because I went to go order blades because the household I currently live in with the two other women who steal all my blades, I had to order blades, right? So I had to order blades and shave gel and, you know, restock all this stuff. They have the hair paste, Myke. You know, the little dab stuff that I put in my hair to make me look awesome. Oh! I ordered it from them. They have it now. I haven't tried it yet. I just got it in yesterday. Oh, so they're doing like hair products now too. Yeah, doing hair products now. So it's pretty awesome. So we'll see how that goes. We'll try that out for next week. I'll be fully, fully, you know, Harry's up for our event. '''Myke Hurley:''' I'm sure you will. I'm sure you will. I don't doubt that by any stretch of the imagination. As a listener of this show, you can get a free trial set that comes with everything you're going to need for a close and comfortable shave. Like weighted ergonomic handles for an easy grip, a five-blade razor with a lubricating strip and trimmer blade for a close shave, rich leathering shave gel to leave you smelling great, and a travel blade color to keep your razor dry and easy on the go. To redeem your trial set, just go to harrys.com slash penaddict. That's H-A-R-R-Y-S harrys.com slash penaddict to redeem your offer and help support this show. Our thanks to Harry's for the continued support of the penaddict. I'm Relay FM. '''Brad Dowdy:''' So let me tell everyone, all our listeners, what you snuck in on me, that it really has me freaked out. All right. You went to buy a fancy suit. Oh. '''Myke Hurley:''' Yeah. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. Like, I'm not wearing a fancy suit. '''Myke Hurley:''' No, I'm wearing it for the big show, not our show. Our show's cash. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Trust me. I know. I know. Oh, but you're going to be a part of the big show. You don't have to wear a big suit. I'm going to be part of the big show. Yeah. Yeah. Like, what do I need to think about what I'm going to wear? I usually go in, you know, just regular Brad casual. Bradual. '''Myke Hurley:''' But you're always more fancy than the average person anyway. '''Brad Dowdy:''' You wear button downs all the time. You're going to be fine. '''Myke Hurley:''' But look, it's a big day for me. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Cash. I know, right? But now you have me stressing out even more. I was like, oh my God, there's only a few shopping days left. Do I need to go buy a fancy suit? You can if you want to, '''Myke Hurley:''' but I'm not going to force you. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah, that's not going to happen. '''Myke Hurley:''' San Francisco Pen Show time. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah, let's go. I'm ready. Almost. All right. '''Myke Hurley:''' So, we're going to be at the San Francisco Pen Show all of next weekend. Show opens Friday? '''Brad Dowdy:''' Show opens Friday. Friday through Sunday. Friday through Sunday. In Redwood City. Sofitel Hotel, I believe is the name of it. '''Myke Hurley:''' Looks like a nice hotel. I'm intrigued about that. It's a cool hotel. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Newly renovated from like two years ago. So, yeah, it's all up to date. Very nice. '''Myke Hurley:''' Is there any preamble that you want to give before Adina dives into her questions? '''Brad Dowdy:''' I don't think so. It's been two. I've missed the last two San Francisco Pen shows. So, it's been almost, I guess, three years since I've been. So, you haven't seen the new hotel then? No, it was under renovation the last time I attended. So, it'll be a little bit new for me. But, you know, same general size scope. I love the show hotel. The ballrooms are big and spacious. They have extra overflow rooms. And it's a good layout for a show. '''Myke Hurley:''' And the Hotel Pullman. Pullman. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Pullman. Sorry. I think, yeah, I get the, I think they had a name change or I'm getting it confused with something else. Is it a prime number? I can't remember. '''Brad Dowdy:''' I'm trying to beat that down now so I don't have to live through it later. Yeah. You gotta own it. Yeah. Yeah. But it's a, it's a cool hotel. It's in a business-y kind of location. Uh-huh. Yeah. But there is food and stuff around. Lovely. You know, like, you know, there's, you know, more corporate-y San Jose than, you know, San Francisco style. But it's a good location. The show promoters that put it on are fantastic. They've worked with us wonderfully to get our little event into the schedule and are hooking us up with rooms and space and chairs and all of that stuff. So we're pretty excited. I am.
