== Pocket Notebook Folio == '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yep, yep, yep. So, our second thing that Jeff and I have been teasing. '''Myke Hurley:''' Yep. God, you guys are just the worst. '''Brad Dowdy:''' So, let's start. Let's start this. Let's blame Jeff for this. All right? So, I'm just sitting at home. And then I pull up Instagram. And Jeff's, like, taking pictures of some case he's made. And I'm like, holy crap. What is that? He doesn't even tell me. But this case that he made, this is how good Jeff is. And this is what he does. He just comes up with this stuff in his head. Goes and gets the chalk and the scissors. And cuts out panels. Puts all this stuff together and goes, boom, check this out. Look what I did. '''Brad Dowdy:''' So, I was like, this thing's crazy. You have to make one for me. Because we've been thinking about, you know, what's our next product going to be? Discounting the folios. The folios are going to happen one way or the other. So, not counting the folios. What's our next product going to be? And he made this case. Right now, he's calling it the half tower. I don't think that's going to be our name. Because it's a great name, though. So, I might eat those words. But it's basically a zip top. And in the, so it opens up. It doesn't zip open all the way. It's the width of, like, a folded high tower. Right? Or a lookout. It's got a zip across the top. Like a half zip. And when it opens up, one side's got three pin slots. And the other side has a pocket for your pocket notebook. He made me one with fabric scraps. Like, no panel on mine is the same color. Like, it's green, blue, orange, and white on the outside. And pink and mango on the inside. It's really sweet. It's a prototype. But the version he made me is... I wouldn't change a stitch on the product. So, he's nailed that right out the gate. That's probably going to be our next product. It's not... You know, we talk about these things. And people want them immediately. And hell, I want them immediately. But, like, this kind of thing takes time for us to get, you know, fabric cut in bulk. And, you know, lots of pieces and parts. Lots of moving parts. You know. So, it's going to be months before you see this. But, I'm... I'll go on record right now and say that's going to be our next product. It's that good of a case. So, I'll leave it at that. I'll stop bragging on us at that. But, I'm seriously thrilled with this case. So, we'll probably make a few more prototypes. Get them in other people's hands. Get them in some of our testers' hands. And go for there. So, what else do you want to know about Knock? '''Myke Hurley:''' Well, Jeff posted a picture today. I assume that's a folio, right? Yeah. Because that's similar to what I have. '''Brad Dowdy:''' So, this is the Pocket Notebook folio. Yeah. And this is the one we're pretty confident in the design of, you know. Like, this one's not going to change. We're still working on the bigger model. When you start getting bigger in, like, Cordura materials, you have to make sure the structure's right. So, it's been a little bit harder to get the A5 sizing to feel good. To feel like a solid product. So, we're working on that. '''Myke Hurley:''' But the one that I have, I'm going to have to tease this before. I'm just going to say it. The one that I have is a prototype of the big one, isn't it? '''Brad Dowdy:''' I don't even know. '''Myke Hurley:''' I believe it is. Because an iPad mini fits in it. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Okay. '''Myke Hurley:''' Yeah. Because now I have a big iPad. I don't use an iPad mini. I want a little one. So, I'll be a customer. Because I love the... But mine, the one that I have is like, as Jeff was saying, like, it's not even closer to final design. Like, there are a few things about it that would be changed. Which is why he had no problem giving it to me. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yep. Yep. Yep. And even that one I think he has in his picture, I think, was the first one he made. So, mine is even a little bit different than that one he has in the picture. '''Myke Hurley:''' Yeah. I love it. Yeah. That little guy, that's exactly what I want for traveling and stuff. It's really cool. '''Brad Dowdy:''' It's really cool. It works extremely well. '''Myke Hurley:''' Yep. Because it'd be good for a passport holder and that kind of thing. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Oh, yeah. It fits. It's got that slot in the back. Behind those two notebook slots, it's got a full width slot. It's perfect. It's right on the money. So, yep. It's really, really good. And so, that's what's going on in the knock world. I'm actually glad we talked about it because we haven't given β it's easier to do an update than, you know, 140 characters repeated over and over again or responding to Instagram, which we like to tease stuff on Instagram. I can't help it. It looks really β stuff looks really cool, and Jeff always shocks me and impresses me with stuff. '''Myke Hurley:''' I'll ask you one last thing, though. Sure. How far away do you think you are from a Kickstarter for the folio? Like, if you were to put money on the table right now. '''Brad Dowdy:''' November. '''Myke Hurley:''' November. Okay. Cool. '''Brad Dowdy:''' I think the half tower will come before the Kickstarter for the folio. Okay. It's going to be close, though. '''Myke Hurley:''' Okay. '''Brad Dowdy:''' And November is a weird spot, too, for a Kickstarter campaign, but that's a whole other conversation. So, we'll see. It's almost like it needs to be October or it needs to be next year. Do you know what I mean? '''Myke Hurley:''' November doesn't work so well. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Well, with the way Kickstarter works, right? I can run a 30-day campaign. It takes me two or three weeks after that to get the money. It'll be after Christmas before we even start making cases. It's just a weird β people have a weird perception of, like, November Kickstarters. That's just β that's my opinion in how the Kickstarter world works. '''Myke Hurley:''' I mean, it's going to get to a certain point. You're going to know if you're going to be able to do it, so you might be able to do it sooner anyway. '''Brad Dowdy:''' It's good. We could. We could get ahead of that. Yes. '''Brad Dowdy:''' I was being cautious there. Yeah. I would love it if it was October. I doubt it would be September. '''Myke Hurley:''' That's not far away, though, to be honest. October is not far away. '''Brad Dowdy:''' That's my point. That's why I said November would be, like, kind of like a pipe dream at this point. '''Myke Hurley:''' Yep. Like, if I even think about how long it took us to put together the Atlanta Pen Show Kickstarter, I can't even imagine what something like this must take. Yep. Yep. That was, like, months. It felt like of work. Yeah. To even do that one, which was, you know, really low risk. Yep. Barely any, like, big work needed to happen beforehand, like, specifically with Nock to get everything ready. Yeah. So, it's tough. It's really not just entering some text in some boxes.
