'''Myke Hurley:''' John Twist had a couple. He had like two different ones. This was one of them. And he was selling it. It was a pen show special. It was like 900 pounds. And I was standing and looking at it for so long, because I knew it was a fair deal. Right? Like, I was looking at it, and I was like, if I'm ever going to get something like this, like, this would be it. But I just, I can't part with that right now. Yeah.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. For sure. That's really pretty.

'''Myke Hurley:''' And again, it's like, you know, every time I get into that bracket, I think of all the other pens that I want to own that cost that amount of money. Yeah. And it makes it so difficult. But I'm not kidding, Brad. Multiple minutes, I was just looking at it. I didn't touch it. I was just looking at it.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. That's where you, what you do. So I've learned at pen shows that if you touch it more than once, you're going to buy it. Yeah. Right? So you don't touch it in the first place, you're covered. But once you pick it up that second time, you're probably spending money and you may not want to spend money. So that's a word to the wise there.

'''Myke Hurley:''' And it had the limited edition, what are they called? The special nibs.

'''Myke Hurley:''' Oh, wow.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' That makes it even a, that makes it even a better price. I mean, it's not, by no means is this a value, but it was certainly reasonably priced for what it actually is.

'''Myke Hurley:''' It had the medium fine, like the MF nib I could put, I could have it with, but yeah, I didn't, I didn't pick it up. I didn't try it because I knew, I knew what would happen. Right. So it's like, well, that just stays in the box and I'll stare at it. And then it was like, because I was, I was like dead set on buying the, what are they called when there's two nibs? Is there a name for them? Like, what do you mean? Like stacked on top of each other? No. When there's like the, the, the, the pens where they have a nib on each side and a, an ink for it's just a double sided pen. So say that. Well, so I, I was like dead set on getting that. It's one of the first pens I saw when I went in because I made a beeline for the twist table. But because I didn't buy this pen, I decided I wasn't going to buy any pen and we just left.

'''Myke Hurley:''' I bumped into a few pen addict listeners on the way out the door there, which was funny. Oh, nice. Like I didn't, I didn't see anybody the whole time. I was like, oh, okay. Like it must've just been a fluke clutched yet. And then just, as I was walking out, I just bumped into like a handful, a small handful of people. It was quite funny.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. That's great. That's great. So I saw in these videos and in the, um, in the notes for the, uh, the blog post I just read, the coned giraffe. Did you happen to stumble all across this at the show?

'''Myke Hurley:''' I saw, um, the vendor that had coned pens. Yeah.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' And twerp or pin world. Yeah. It was one of them.

'''Myke Hurley:''' They had a lot of them and it was pretty busy and I'm not massive on coned pens. So I didn't really bother looking. So I'm sure that if I would have paid attention, I would have seen this.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' So I updated the link in the show notes. So I had one originally, but I put in the actual one. Have you seen this red one?

'''Myke Hurley:''' Um, let me do it. Yeah, I did. Go take a look at that. Yeah, I did see it. That was, I didn't pay attention to it seriously, but I like, they had a bunch, they had like a few of these red pens in a big illuminated case.

'''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. Like I don't get this pen. Like I'm cool with the big, long desk type pen style, but this is a capped extraordinarily long pen. I haven't looked at the dimensions. It's gotta be seven to eight inches long. I'm guessing. I, it's absolutely insane how long and skinny this pen is. And I, I, I don't know, someone can explain it to me maybe, but I'm not, I'm not understanding the need for this pen. Um, and it's certainly expensive. Like, and I love what Kona does. I'm still waiting to get the one that I want. And I just haven't bought it yet. Cause it's like all their pens, they're expensive, but I don't get the giraffe. Like sometimes like just because you can do it, I don't know if it means that you should, you know, it seems like one of those things like, oh gosh, it's, it's boggling my mind. I'm sorry. I'm kind of rambling about it, but I really don't know what to do with this. Um, yeah, I guess, I guess I'll do nothing with it because it's not for you.
