== Mont Blanc == '''Brad Dowdy:''' Oh, good grief. Oh, Brad. '''Myke Hurley:''' What? We're so useless. What? Do you know, two weeks ago, we've been doing the show for two years. '''Brad Dowdy:''' I know. Can you believe that? I mean, we don't even keep up with our own anniversary. Someone hit us up on Twitter and said, Hey, congrats on two years. We're like, Hey, all right. Woo-hoo! '''Myke Hurley:''' I just thought I'd check it. Yeah, I remember getting that tweet now. I just thought I'd check it then because obviously, you know, we're approaching a bigger milestone. That's right. More to come on that soon. '''Brad Dowdy:''' How are you? I'm good, sir. How about you? I'm good. I fixed my Mont Blanc. That's awesome. I'm so excited for you. And it turned out it wasn't necessarily a nib problem, right? '''Myke Hurley:''' Well, I mean, you know, as a long time listeners will know, I have a Mont Blanc that I was given for my 18th birthday. And one day I dropped it. And since that day, it didn't work properly. And I've kind of just left it. It was taken to a store. Before the store criticized the fact that the pen had never been cleaned because this was before my pen addict days, I'd just been using it. And, you know, it kind of dried up. And I thought to myself, why don't I just try and clean it? So I spent some time over the weekend. It honestly took about 30 minutes to clean just to run enough water through it and through the converter and stuff like that to clean it out, you know, so there's no blank ink left. And it's now working like a dream. I think maybe what had happened was there was like a lot of dried ink in the mechanism under the nib. And when I dropped it, it sludged it and therefore was kind of blocking ink flow. And this was maybe like holding the nib in a bad position or something because now it's writing like an absolute dream. That's awesome. And I'm just happy because it was a gift. And I'm just really happy that I'm able to use it again. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah. Good fountain pen hygiene is key. '''Myke Hurley:''' Yep. And I believe, I believe, I'm trying to find it for the show notes, that I have a Mozart, a Montblanc Mozart. Okay. '''Myke Hurley:''' Nice. Which is, you know, I don't even know if I'm able to find it. But I remember there being a picture of Mozart on the box. Gotcha. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Gotcha. And what ink went into it? '''Myke Hurley:''' I put a Roshizuku Kompeki. There you go. Perfect. I think, I think I found it. Hang on. No, this isn't my one. '''Brad Dowdy:''' I mean, they did some with, I'm not a Montblanc guru, but they did a lot of, you know, special names, you know, a lot of literary figures I know and different people. '''Myke Hurley:''' It's from this Mozart line. Okay. But, uh, I can't find the exact one that is mine. Um, Meisterstuck. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Mm-hmm. Well, that's one of their, that's one of their common names. '''Myke Hurley:''' Homage, uh, Mozart. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Cool. '''Brad Dowdy:''' There you go. I want to see it. You'll have to put that in the show notes for everyone to see. '''Myke Hurley:''' Yeah, I'll try and find the one that I have. '''Myke Hurley:''' So, yeah. So, I just went to just. Excellent. It was not. I'm excited for you. It's not really too much. It's just, you know, I'm kind of pleased that it's back. '''Brad Dowdy:''' Yeah, for sure. I mean, heck. I mean, I'd be very pleased that that was, that pin was back. So, that's good. I'm glad to, uh, glad to see that you, uh, you cleaned it up and it's good to go. That's awesome.
